Happy New Year! 2010 is already proving to be the year for Zander to take over the music industry. A HUGE update on what Zander has been up to the past few weeks....Zander has been in Los Angeles working with super producer RedOne on his debut album!!

RedOne created the incredible hits that made Lady Gaga into a worldwide superstar. RedOne was just nominated for 5 Grammy awards with Lady Gaga's massive album, including nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Dance Recording for "Poker Face" and "Just Dance".

Fresh off the huge success with Lady Gaga, RedOne has taken on Zander's debut album as his new project. As many of the largest names in music dream to ever work with RedOne, Zander has the privilege of working directly with RedOne on his entire album! The tremendous combination of Zander and RedOne has already resulted in creating 3 massive hits, yet to be released, and will continue as they work over the next few months to complete Zander's debut album.

So it's official, Zander Bleck is now working with one of the industry's top managers and talent agencies, and has been busy for the past few months beginning work on his debut studio album! Zander has been writing lot's of new material...his best work yet...and will be joining together with a line up of the worlds most prestigious artists and incredible producers. Zander has been MIA from the NYC scene for the past few weeks...but for good reason. Zander's been living in LA for almost a month working 24/7 on a HUGE new project with some of the industry's top producers and musicians. Zander is back from Miami's Winter Music Conference with lot's of exciting updates! The Winter Music Conference, besides being an insane, non-stop dance party, is regarded as the singular networking event in the dance music industry...

Zander went to Miami to officially debut, perform and promote his DJ Jaimie Fanatic "Get Up" dance remixes, which were played at all the hottest clubs in South Beach, with amazing responses from DJ's, club owners and most importantly, the crowds.

The highlight of WMC, besides the amazing feedback on Zander's music, lot's of TV and Radio interviews, and non-stop partying on the beach, was by far, the release of a BRAND NEW collaboration by Zander and one of the world's top DJ's Lee Cabrera for a super hot dance remix of Tears for Fears "Everybody Wants to Rule the World". ZANDER BLECK, UNWRAPPED....

I love HIM!

You know... HIS INFERNAL MAJESTY H.I.M.? Ville Valo has the talent,
the voice, the
hair...the low-riding pants. Well, hey, I am a girl! But up till
now, there hasn't been anyone I've ran into here in the US that had
the same flair - and catchy songs.

You see, I had the chance to preview a few singles from an as yet
uncut CD by an up-and-coming crooner - Zander Bleck. And it snowballed
from there.

Or, in this case - sandstormed? On a dry Saharan backdrop, with a
couple of camels for decor, Zander looked untamed, and dare I say -
untamed. In the middle of recording a music video for his new single
"Beyond the Horizon", he was kind enough to take some of his time to
speak to a newly minted fan.

And no, before you ask - we did not delve into Zander's relationships.
But our conversation did give me a helpful glimpse into the mind and
the voice of a fiercely independent artist. Eschewing the controlling
influence and backing of the corporate record industry, Mr. Bleck, 24,
is determined to retain creative control, even if it means going it
alone.

Born and raised in rural New Jersey, young Zander was surrounded by
music since he was a child. Inspired by his father's unfailing
determination and God-given talent, and stories of a grandfather he'd
never met, he began developing a musical taste of his own. With it,
came a decision to grow it into a full-fledged career.

But what's a musician's lifestory without a few bumps along the road?
Zander had to buckle down and keep himself going. Of course, in his
case, it was with a flourishing modeling career. What was merely an
opportunity to see the world for him resulted in reaching this rather
competitive field's topmost tiers.

And then, Zander quit. Oh, at some point, he would be willing enough
to endorse some products, but looking to the forewater of the
industry, he doesn't want to be just a buff body or a handsome face.

An artist inspired by Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Coldplay, he is
self-taught. And his sound is just diverse enough to appeal to quite
a wide range of fans. That might be because he sees visuals when he
is writing, and never does it come true clearer than in his debut
single "Get Up."

Himself one of the earlier Obama groupies, Zander, too, wants to get
the world to turn on its lights. With his Jamie Fanatic's dance
remixes, performances in one of the newer Big Apple hotspots, The
Greenhouse, his trip to Mali to capture the primeval glory of the
Essakane for his desert-themed Beyond the Horizon song, he might just
do that.

I was blown away - the song is ever the more haunting before the stark
contrast of the Saharan lifestyle to the urban ways we call our own.
Artistic quality aside - the visual production of the piece was top
notch, making it easy to forget that that was a self-made talent,
producing his music and videos without the financial backing of a
label.

The Intriguing Zander Bleck

When 18 year-old Zander Bleck left the comforts of his home in rural New Jersey six years ago, he did so with his eye on something of a uniquely interwoven dream filled with both runways and DJs, fashion and rock, mixed with a tall, slender physique and a jawline somewhere between Jake Gyllenhaal and Jim Morrison. The result was a flourishing modeling career which now boasts such well-groomed publications as GQ, Vogue, and Vanity Fair and top–tier clients like Armani, Diesel and Energie with enough flair and alacrity to make Kanye West question his designer swagger. But these days Bleck takes his chiseled good looks and attaches them to his self-titled, five song EP in an attempt to woo fans with an exercise in genre blending that fuses the upbeat, new wave sound from classic bands like the Cure and Simple Minds with daring attempts at the more avante-garde aspects of Led Zeppelin, Queen and Daft Punk.

Bleck’s music eagerly seems to defy a ready-made categorization as each of the five tracks on his EP create colors and tones quite different and definitely distinct from each other. He latest single “Get Up” has two incarnations.
The first is a popish mixture of 80s British new wave synth beats and a faint drum and bass injection. The second is an up-tempo, funky house-infectious, mind trip produced by DJ Jamie Fanatic. A song like “Eloisa” seems a throwback to Mama Cass and crew with a faintly present electronic dub update, while a bold exhibition like “Beyond the Horizon” sounds like some kind of abstract interlude between U2’s Bono and the backing members of Radiohead, and “Meant to Be” drives smoothly into a hip hop backbeat as the listener awaits the inevitable remix by Timbaland.

Zander Bleck is not the musical or visual norm for sure; and to the willing ear he may be even too much to handle at first listen. But then again, alien territory can never be truly appreciated until one dares to make the effort to explore it.

Zander Bleck - A Fresh Sound

More than just a handsome face, the young 24 year old Zander Bleck triple threat model-actor-musician is taking on the indie music world. The strikingly handsome New Jersey native makes his face memorable with his pop and rock music style. Breaking into his career in New York at a young age he has modeled for big names such as Diesel, Armani, Vogue and much more. Taking the passion he has behind all of his goals he has put his creative talents into making music.

I was introduced to Zander Bleck's music recently and took the time to listen to his sound. This driven artist who comes from a family of musical talent released his debut single "Get Up" in 2008. He brings full energy to this single and I have to say I enjoyed it. It's a fresh sound unlike many of the wannabe pop stars we hear everyday. A super high energy song that I could not stop but sing this catchy song over and over again. It has a strong 80's vibe to it and puts you in a serious dance mood. His first single "Get Up" without doubt seems to be the favorite of fans with thousands of fans watching the music video displayed online. With his distinct voice and gorgeous locks to match I will now be following this indie artist.

There is something for everyone and will appeal to a wide range of music fans. From the song "Meant to Be" to "Eloisa" it captures the variety of songwriting skills he has. Many fans are looking forward to seeing the new music video for "Beyond the Horizon" which is debuting January 30th, 2009 and entirely produced by Zander Bleck. "Beyond the Horizon" is hypnotic and it definitely makes me want to hear more of his original songs.

He will be releasing a four song EP with the four singles produced by Adam Longlands in Los Angeles. His plan is to follow up with a full album and there are 2 dance remixes to "Get Up" by Jaimie Fanatic for his album. Zander Bleck is on the indie music map and will be catching all of us around the world soon with his creative sound.

January 5, 2009 - Zander is in Mali, Africa to Perform at the "Festival in the Desert"

Zander is currently in Mali for 2 weeks to perform at the legendary "Festival in the Desert" in the remote Sahara Desert location of Essakane, 2 hours north of Timbuktu.

He is one of the only Americans invited to perform at this worldwide music festival, so it is a huge honor for him and will be an incredible experience!

While in Mali he will also be filming his new music video for "Beyond the Horizon" to be released Jan.2009

Zander will be capturing his entire experience to Africa on film, so check back soon to see the documentary!
